Company History

Our firm traces its origins back to 1986 with the foundation of the Caudwell Group in the north west of England. After many years of rapid growth and diversification, Caudwell’s retail and distribution businesses were split from each other and sold separately. 20:20 Mobile, comprising the distribution and international arms of the business, was acquired by the leading UK private equity firm, Doughty Hanson.
In 2007 Doughty Hanson further expanded the 20:20 Mobile distribution footprint through the acquisition of AxCom in Sweden and One2Com in Norway. More recently, we have opened subsidiaries in Portugal, the Benelux countries and Germany. In 2010 our company invested in an ecommerce joint venture in Norway, One2Cel; and in 2011 completed the acquisition of Axxit, a successful accessories distributor operating in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
